Assessment Test – Autumn 1999

The Welsh Springer Spaniel Club Autumn Working Test was held on Sunday 18 September 1999 at Manor Farm, Ockenden, Essex by kind permission of Geoff Jeffreys. The judge was John Phillips who has done so much to popularise the working side over the past 25 years.

It was good to see some new faces handling their dogs and indeed the Puppy Test was won by 16 year old Kerry Duncan who was running her youngster for the first time in a WSSC Test. Novice saw a win for Tony Wickenden, who won the award for the most improved handler, and Open saw a first win at this level for Steve Cooper with Megwellin Razzle Dazzle.
